I’m a human who loves helping humans impact other humans.
If you’ve poked around my site, you’ve probably noticed that I like the word “empathy” quite a bit. I believe it’s the key to every good thing I’ve ever written. In whatever work we do together, I want you to know that I’m committed to two things. I’ll put myself in your shoes to understand who you are, what you want to say, and how you want to say it. And I’ll put myself in your reader’s shoes to understand who they are, what they need to hear, and how they need to hear it. I believe all effective writing should start with empathy. And that’s what you’ll get with me.
I’ve spent more than 14 years helping impact-driven people and brands communicate authentically with the audience they want to reach. Books, articles, blog posts, email, social media—however they want to show up, I’m there to help them do it. I’ve had the privilege of serving clients across generations and industries, from sales professionals to corporate consultants to mission-minded youth leaders.
More than anything, my writing is driven by a core belief I’ve held my whole life: words matter. In everything I write, I work to prioritize the audience I’m writing for—their needs, their struggles, their relationships, and how to meet them where they are with the message they need to hear. It’s the approach I bring to every single project I work on.
My Core Values
-
It’s not about me. Everything I do starts with building my understanding of you and your audience so I can communicate your message effectively and authentically.
-
When you work with me, you’re not just getting a writer—you’re getting a partner. I make it my mission to help your mission flourish, and I care deeply about your success.
-
Asking questions is my superpower. I’ll dig in and learn about you and your message so that when I put it into writing, I’ll be doing it from a place of understanding.
-
There’s no easy reading without great writing. Words are my thing, and I’ve spent my entire career honing my craft. I’m committed to making your book sing.
-
Nothing matters more to me than your trust. When we work together, you can expect me to be honest, transparent, and consistent.
Why do I ghostwrite?
There are a lot of people out there with powerful messages to share. We all know them—family members who have overcome incredible challenges, friends who are courageously making a difference in the world, professional contacts who have dedicated their careers to helping other people grow. But in so many cases, their messages are only heard by the lucky few who get to know those people in real life (or, at best, through their LinkedIn posts).
I believe those messages deserve to be heard. The world is full of people whose lives could be impacted by the big, brave stories that exist all around us, and one of the very best ways to do that is through writing.
But writing is hard. And writing a book is even harder.
That’s where I come in. The things I enjoy most—writing, asking questions, and helping people communicate with authenticity—have made ghostwriting some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. I love helping authors’ dreams become reality. I love helping a book’s audience hear exactly the message they need. And I love the way I’m personally impacted in the process. Every author I’ve ever worked with has taught me something through our time working together. I know their audience’s lives will be changed, because mine was changed first.
If your only goal in writing a book is to make as much money as possible, I’ll be honest—I’m probably not your guy. But if you want to write a book to expand your reach and impact real people for good, I’d love to partner with you in your journey.
